playing in the pool

Today was Addilynn's first time in the pool. It was a hit! now we will have to do it more often. Without Daddy though. When he is around all she gets to do is sit still. :) She cant even wiggle or he comes unglued but we love him for being so protective!

A Whole year old!

Addilynn's actual birthday was yesterday and what a busy day it was. It started at 12:03 Am when Auntie Jaylee texted to tell her happy birthday! She wanted to be the first LOL. Next Kari came to visit and Ggma Mary too! Then, we went and picked up her 4th of July dress from Lisa (it is great by the way I cant wait to get a picture!) and visited with gma, aunties, and cousin Camber. Then Grammy visited to say happy birthday too!

3:00 was a play date with Blayze, Holly Jo, and Shena. It was very fun they did great together.

Then she finally went down for a nap for about an hour until it was time for dinner.
Dustin and I took her to pizza and she was in heaven. We were talking about it and realized it is the first dinner just the three of us have gone on. WOW it took a whole year. Crazy how time flies!

This is Addilynn goofing off on the floor. She loves to throw "pretend" fits among her real ones!

This has been a great year and it wouldn't have been as perfect without our friends and family. Thanks everyone for making it so special for Addilynn!

redneck diaper

This is what happens when you don't have a diaper or wipes on a 4wheeler ride. So before you start thinking about how UN prepared we were I want you all to know this is Alainas fault LOL She knows what I mean! I got her back though by locking her out of the camper!

Recipe for a redneck diaper:

about 10 blue heavy duty paper towels

one gallon size zip lock baggie

A roll of Duct tape

and the onesie she was wearing

Take all but three paper towels and wrap them strategically around the danger zones then tape them in place without getting any tape around her body or on her skin. Slip the onesie on using arm holes as leg holes. Last, Cut two "leg" holes in the corners of the baggie and stuff the bottom of the baggie with the remaining towels.
There you have it! A true REDNECK DIAPER It works too! She tested it for me!

Addilynn was sitting so still watching So You Think You Can Dance! It was so funny every time I would ask her to smile she would look at me like I was interrupting something. I finally got her to smile one big smile and that was it!
