End of year 1

 

So… as the year 2010 is coming to an end I sit here and wonder how a whole year slipped past right before my eyes. I have to give a big thank you to one of my bestest buds Maria for giving me this idea. Although it is very hard to post a picture every day, I did a decent job and without the idea I wouldn’t have forced myself to document so well. This is basically in place of a baby book because I am more likely to get on the computer then drag out the book. Sad I know!

Here is a picture from January 1st, 2010 and a picture from December 30, 2010. It makes me sad to think that a whole year has gone by way to quickly. I can’t believe how much she has changed since then. Looking back through the posts it is like seeing things for the first time again! I can’t believe how much I didn’t remember. I am going to try really hard next year to keep up with the 365 blog again and I encourage anyone out there who has a memory like mine, to do the same! Happy New Year everyone. Cheers to a great 2011!

Our computer has been on the fritz lately so I haven’t been posting for December! I had all of these set to publish but since our computer has had a hard time staying on we are hardly even on the internet anymore. So this is technically cheating, but still counts!!!

What Mom??

This is what happens when your 17 month old is silent! Lesson learned. I was cutting Dustin’s hair and this is what she managed to do to entertain herself!

Hunters Orange

She looks so tough in her hunters orange hat, mean mug, and big girl panties. What a goofball.

Shoes

Addilynn is now very into everyone’s shoes more than she ever has been! She tries so hard to wear them even boots and it is so funny to watch her stumble around in them!

Another play date!

This was a couple Wednesdays ago Jessica and I took the kids down to the tennis court to ride their 4wheelers. They both had a blast since there isn’t a lot of room in the house she hasn’t ever had a chance to ride this much!

Addilynn got these body paints from her Great Grandma Mary for Halloween and she loves them! They make a big mess but at least they are just soap so they wash right off!

Game Fit

This was how her fit started at aunties volleyball game. She didn’t want to be held or talked to so she laid on the dirty bleachers and started kicking her feet when that didn’t work it turned to an all out scream. It is pretty funny now looking back but at the time we didn’t really know how to react. This first time parenting is like putting a puzzle together! Next time we will be prepared. Even in her rages she is still pretty cute though I must say

Belly Button

Addilynn likes to look at her belly button! She has a hard time seeing it over her belly but she makes sure to pull her tummy out of the way to get a good view. In this pictures she is showing us her button!

Future Hygienist

Addilynn Sure does love her toothbrush which is a GOOD thing for mommy!

Camper Tub

Some of my favorite times camping with our camper this year have been her baths at night! She always loves baths but it makes it so nice to have a tub at camp too!

Fuzzy Wuzzy

Addilynn loved this little guy at camp. She wanted to poke him though so we had to be careful! She held him and tried to squeeze him so we had to put him back on the garbage can where he lives :)

Football

This was from last Thursday when we went to watch uncle Dj play football. Addilynn got her own Gatorade, Popcorn, and sucker to keep her entertained for the entire game. Sitting in bleachers and a one year old don’t always go hand in hand. This night she did great! She was able to stay until the last minute when it started pouring down rain. We were so glad we could watch because uncle Dj and cousin Jordan did great! We love to watch the kids play it just might not be as easy this year :)

Boot Scootin

Addilynn really wanted to wear my boots one day so I let her do it! They didn’t stay on for long because she kept walking out of them! She is very stubborn these days and it is funny that she is starting to communicate more. She definitely gets her point across even if it takes awhile

She wanted them so bad but when she would try to put them on herself she would put them around her neck!

Static Hair

This is from Wednesday we went to the park and played for a couple hours. Addilynn even when down all the slides all by her self she was so big. She climbed up and toddled over to the edge and made the plunge! I really didn’t expect it so I thought it was the cutest thing! My little girl is growing up :*( Auntie P met us there after school and we went to the second hand store where we met Grammy to get some “new to us” clothes. Then Grammy gave us money to go get milkshakes and Addilynn loved hers! She is getting so big everyday it is crazy to see her changing so much.

Puffer Ball

Addilynn’s puffer ball that her Grammy got her from the carnival Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately it went flat today… not sure how but I’m thinking either baby or dogs were the culprits.

A for Addilynn

We got these foam letters and numbers for Addilynn when we went shopping last time. There are so many of them they are kind of a pain, but she loves them so I can’t complain!

Laundry

This has got to be the cutest dirty laundry I’ve ever seen!

Today Addilynn and I went up for our Wednesday coffee at Dad and Lisa’s house. Today was a little different because the kids are back in school so it was extremely quiet and Addilynn had to find things to do to entertain herself. All summer her aunties have been there to keep her happy! Today she took her Nona back to Paige’s room and reached for her IPod singing Undo It! She knew right where it was and that her Auntie P usually played it for her.

I take what I can get

At least it is a cute tongue! She will definitely be able to touch that long thing to her nose! Lately I take whatever cute faces she makes even if they aren’t smiles, at least she is looking!

hmmm…

I’m not really sure what this face is, but I’m sure it is an “I’m up to no good” face! Her different facial expressions kill me. She is such a goofball these days. Tonight has been a much better night. She was in a very good mood until story time then the fits started.  I guess she can’t be good all the time lol!  Needless to say, she went to bed without her story poor little thing! Being a parent and disciplining is so hard when all you want to do is give in or die laughing at them!

Laundry Basket Jungle Gym

Addilynn went to visit MiMi Saturday and this is her favorite thing to play with there! She purposely tips it over and climbs in and out of it.

Tutu Rider

Addilynn loves this tutu she wears it all the time and can ask for it now (or grunt at it). She points to it and says uh then sits down so we can put it on her! It is way funny!

Mohawk

Addilynn’s hair is getting so long! I have so much fun now putting it in a spike in the tub! She loves it too as you can tell.

Play date

Addilynn had a play date Wednesday with a little a 15 month old boy named Kelby. While we were there another little girl came to the park who was 18 months old the three of them had a great time. Addilynn loved being bossy to all the little ones! That is something we are working on. 

Funny Face

It is really hard to get her to sit still long enough for a picture these days so mostly I take 5 of the same shot saying “smile” over a 100 times before I can even get her to look! This is one of the faces she makes quite often instead of a smile!

Summer home

This is our summer home. We miss it so much and every Monday morning we count the days until the weekend so we can visit it! That is if we get to camp. We love this place. Oh and what a handsome booty in the shot too! I didn’t realize that made the photo. It is the only photo I have of the camper so enjoy him too!

Addilynn falls asleep on the 4-wheeler all the time so when she does there is always a dog box handy for her to snooze in while we stop!

Camping kids!

This is a picture from the weekend when we all went on a ride up hemlock to pick huckleberries. We found some but not enough! Addilynn loved them this time though and as I said before that is how she got her war wound.

First mud pie

Addilynn made her first mud pie this weekend and stayed surprisingly clean! She wasn’t as dirty as I pictured, but had a blast doing it. She had lots of helpers Auntie P, Grant and Kaylene all helped make her first mud pie experience a success!
